Class Descriptions
Flying Trapeze – All Levels
Our generic flying trapeze class is “mixed ability level.” You could be in your first class alongside a training professional. If it is your first time on the flying trapeze, we will take the first 5-10 minutes of the class to give you an on-the-ground introduction into what you will be doing. During this time we will go over safety procedures and flying trapeze etiquette. Once you’ve completed the introduction you will spend the remainder of the class taking turns on the trapeze attempting various tricks and then dropping into the net. We allot the last portion of the class to attempting to catch the tricks that you have been working on. As a general rule of thumb, we dictate the speed of the class on each individual’s ability and comfort levels. If you are afraid of heights and just want to swing and drop, that is perfectly acceptable and we will help you progress at your comfort. If you are picking up the tricks quickly, we will allow you to move on to something different. Since this class is for mixed ability levels, you may be learning your first trick while someone else in the class has been working on the same trick for several classes. During the portion when we are attempting catches, there are a lot of variables aside from ability level – so, if, in your first class, you are not able to make a catch, please do not think this reflects poorly on your ability for you may be overcoming more obstacles than others! Our primary goal is to enjoy yourself – if we can teach you a little circus in the process, that’s just bonus!
This class has a maximum of 10 people. Classes with 6-10 people booked will run for the full 2 hours. Classes with 1-5 people booked will run for 1 hour. Either way, the class structure will be the same, with time allotted for catches at the end.
Flying Trapeze – Intermediate Level
This flying trapeze class is for our students who have taken more than 3 classes, are working on a one-handed take-off, and working on a swing. The students may fly on a gauze bar if everyone in the class agrees. This class may or may not have a catcher scheduled – feel free to check with the staff in advance if you want to know before you sign up.
This class has a maximum of 10 people. Classes with 6-10 people booked will run for the full 2 hours with a 5-10 minute break between the first and second hour. Classes with 1-5 people booked will run for 1 hour.

Aerial Overview
Our Aerial Classes are a complete mix of apparatuses and ability levels. If you’re unsure of what level you should join, feel free to reach out to an instructor – they should be able to guide you after a quick conversation. Aerial Silks classes teach you all of the different movements possible with specialty fabric rigged from our 32′ aerial crane. Lyra is the aerial hoop apparatus that tends to involve more spinning! Aerial Hammock is made out of the same material as aerial silks but made with one continuous piece of fabric looped at the bottom (instead of two tails). Aerial Straps are two pieces of strict fabric with loops at the end for hands and feet, and are meant for inversions, beats, and spinning flares. Dance trapeze is a type of static trapeze. Corde Lisse is our aerial rope that is specifically designed for comfort and grip – this is similar to aerial silks but different in various ways. Spanish web is made out of the same material as Corde Lisse, but with a hand-loop – this apparatus is designed for the most intense spinning! Cyr Wheel is a giant metal hoop which you stand in and make it spin like a coin.
